Keynes Words of Advice

“The avoidance of taxes is the only intellectual pursuit that carries any reward.”  Such a good point, John Maynard Keynes!  via @LWAtax

Now, that’s tax avoidance, not tax evasion!  We teach all our clients how to save more of their money in the future, legally.  It’s all about how well you know the complex rules of this taxation game (and how well you keep up, since the government makes ongoing changes to tax legislation).

John Maynard Keynes (1883-1946), was a British economist in the early 1900s.  His ideas became the foundations for today’s macroeconomic theories, and he is considered one of the most influential economists of the 20th century.

From his writings sprang Keynesian economics, which has gone in and out of favour over the decades.  Keynesian economics enjoyed a resurgence following the “global economic crisis” of 2007, utilised by various governments in their responses.  Which makes sense, considering that Keynes developed some of his theories during the Great Depression of the 20s & 30s and during both World Wars. Interesting guy!
